Carmel Lloyd King, age 60, died of stage four lung cancer at home on March 26th, 2015, in Perris, CA.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Miranda King, of Perris, CA; his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Monica King of Santee, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Miranda and Rob Weeks of Navarre, Fl., and his sisters, Carla Warren, Constance Chapman, and Mary Adams, all from Desert Hot Springs, CA. Carmel Lloyd King, age 60, died of stage four lung cancer at home on March 26th, 2015, in Perris, CA.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Miranda King, of Perris, CA; his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Monica King of Santee, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Miranda and Rob Weeks of Navarre, Fl., and his sisters, Carla Warren, Constance Chapman, and Mary Adams, all from Desert Hot Springs, CA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Novalene and father, Carmel King, of Perris, CA. Lloyd also leaves 4 grandchildren Gabrielle, Eric, Josie and William and 1 great grandson, Wyatt.
Lloyd was born on September 11th, 1954 in Indio, CA, to parents, Novalene and Carmel King. He graduated from Fontana High School in 1972 and took college classes at San Bernardino Valley College. His first job was at Fellow's Market, in Fontana, as a grocery clerk. From there, he went to Kaiser Steel Mill at the blast furnace in 1975. He started with a position as a cart guy with Costco Wholesale in 1983, and continued with promotions that lead to assistant manager. He made many, lasting friends in the 30 years he worked at Costco.
Lloyd was a great family man and a loving father. He married the love of his life, Rose, in Las Vegas, NV and they had 2 children together, Joe and Miranda.
Lloyd was a social, active man who was deeply involved in family, friends and work. He enjoyed camping, four wheeling in his Jeep and being with Rose. His family and friends remember Lloyd as a fun, caring, kind and loving person.
A viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 3rd, 4-8 pm. A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, April 4th, at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, CA.
